The 2009 Sasol SA Rally Championship kicks off this weekend with the Total Tour Natal Rally in KZN. The Castrol Toyota Rally Team is revving to go and is aiming for Driver’s, Co-Driver’s and Manufacturer’s Championship. You can look forward to a pair of new Toyota Auris S2000 vehicles driven by Mark Cronje and co-driver Robert Paisley as well as Johnny Gemmell and Peter Marsh.

Those who have been following the season and the Auris Blog closely will remember that the S2000 Auris made a remarkable debut deep into the 2008 season, setting a string of fastest stage times.

The Sasol SA National Rally Championship starts in a few weeks and we're very excited about this year's season.

If you've been following the blog, you'll know that I went to the 7th Round of the Sasol Rally last month. It was an amazing amount of fun and I highly recommend checking this out.

The good news is that the final round of the Sasol Rally is happening this weekend (Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th of October). The event kickstarts on Friday morning at East Rand Toyota, which lies just to the east of the East Rand Mall (in Boksburg). The Rally kicks off at 10h00, but be there earlier if you want to have a look at the cars before they get put through their paces.  read more »
